Inkcpp Localization Editor
A downloadable tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This is a small cross-platform program for editing text in Inkcpp files (usually bin or for example inkb in Until Then).
Currently inkcpp files before version 0.1 are supported. This is the version that is used in Until Then. But if anyone needs support for newer versions, let me know and I will add support for newer inkcpp files.
Supported Platforms:
- Windows (tested on Win 10)
- Linux (targeted, built and tested on Ubuntu 22.04)
- macOS (targeted at 10.15, tested on 15.1)
Free or paid version?
The free version differs from the paid version in that it allows you to open only 1 file at a time. Whereas the paid version allows you to open multiple files or entire directories.
This program was originally developed as a localization editor for Until Then, so here you can find a complete guide on localization of this game: How to localize Until Then.

Hi! I just want to check if I forgot something, because the program just isn't launching for me. I tried it on Windows 11, but I also tested it on an Ubuntu Virtual Box (22.04) and the same happens. Am I missing something? Thanks!
Oops. The last time before the release, I checked the launch only on Ubuntu and macOS.
I just double-checked and Ubuntu vm runs the program without problems (try double-clicking in explorer or launch it from the console), even on a completely clean image. And macOS 15 runs the program.
But yes, I confirm that the program cannot run on clean Windows. I don’t know why yet.
I think I’ve found the reason. And most likely, the FREE version of the program really shouldn’t have run on all operating systems. I will release an update soon.
Solved! Working perfectly on Windows now!
About Ubuntu, indeed, it was my mistake. I was about to sleep and I didn’t try it... it goes fine when launched through the console!
Thank you for the reply and for the program! To be honest, it's even kind of surprising that you created the PCK Explorer, which I’ve already used a couple of times before. And right when I finished Until Then and decided to translate it, you came up with this tool… just a coincidence, but I really appreciate it! Thank you for the guide as well.
Hopefully there won’t be any more major problems 😅.
Good luck with the translation! And let me know if you find any other problems.
Thanks for reporting the problem!
Update is live. Please check if it is working now.
